Photography
Light on the water, from golden hour to send-off
Photographers tend to plan two passes here: one at the pavilion for ceremony and immediately-after portraits, and one later along the lake edge when the light drops. The open sightlines mean you are not fighting parked cars or a neighboring building in the frame.
Because you have the property all day Saturday and all Friday afternoon, there is genuine room in the timeline for both.
Guest Experience
Getting people to their seats comfortably
One hundred outdoor ceremony chairs are included with the rental and set facing the pavilion. The parking lot is large and on the same property, so nobody is hunting for street parking or waiting on a shuttle.
For a Texas summer ceremony most couples move the start later in the afternoon, keep water available near seating, and use the barn for cocktails immediately after. It is a small set of decisions that makes a big difference in July.

Weather
A backup plan you would actually be happy with
The honest reason to ask about a rain plan is that most of them are disappointing. Here the alternative is the barn itself — 80 x 80, draped in white with chandeliers inside and out — which is where the reception happens anyway.
Making the call is simple because the two spaces are steps apart, the chairs are on site, and you are not paying anyone overtime to reset a room.
