What a family reunion actually needs from a venue
Reunions are not weddings. Nobody needs a bridal suite, but everybody needs shade, restrooms, somewhere to put the food, somewhere for kids to run and somewhere for the older generation to sit comfortably and talk.
Reverie at Diamond D is a private venue in Normangee, in the Brazos Valley between Bryan–College Station, Madisonville and Centerville. Families use the barn for meals, the pavilion and lawn for the outdoor part of the day, and the lakes for the part the kids remember.
Below is how a reunion typically uses the property, what comes with the rental, and what you arrange yourself.
Indoor and outdoor in one place
The 80 x 80 barn handles meals and afternoon heat; the pavilion, lawn and lakes handle everything else.
Seating already on site
21 eight-foot tables and 150 white resin chairs come with the rental, plus 100 outdoor chairs — no rental delivery to coordinate.
Bring your own food
Cater it or bring in the food your family loves. You bring your own vendors, subject to Reverie approval, or Reverie can source and manage them.
Multi-Generation
Somewhere for every age to actually enjoy the day
The practical test of a reunion venue is whether an 80-year-old and an 8-year-old both have somewhere they want to be. Here that is the difference between the shaded barn with chairs and tables and the open lawn and lake a short walk away.
Both lakes are stocked and available for catch-and-release fishing, which reliably occupies a group of cousins for a whole afternoon. Restrooms are large and multi-stall, and parking is on the property.

Meals
Feeding a big family without a catering contract
You bring your own food, drink, vendors and decorations, subject to Reverie approval, or Reverie can source and manage them. Families cater it, hire a food truck, or handle the meal themselves.
If alcohol is served, a Reverie-sourced police officer is required, and event liability insurance applies the same as it does for weddings.
Make It a Weekend
Lodging so travelling family is not driving twice
The on-site farmhouse — three bedrooms, two baths, roughly ten sleeping spots — can be booked separately with a two-night minimum stay, separately from the venue. It is on the property.
Campers are welcome on the property, and RV sites are coming soon. Families travelling farther usually book hotels in Madisonville, Huntsville or Bryan–College Station.
